The natural gas aggregation price in Batavia Village and Batavia Township will drop in June.
Energy Alliances, a local energy brokerage company, has negotiated a price of $0.396 per cubic foot, beginning with June 2019 meter readings, according to William Grafe, president of Energy Alliances. The fixed price runs through May 2022. The price is for the gas supply. The gas bill also includes delivery charges from Duke.
Voters in Batavia Township, including both the village and the unincorporated areas, approved an aggregation program in November 2017, and Energy Alliances is the program manager.
The Batavia price cap is $0.444 per cubic foot. Energy Alliances negotiated the lower price with Constellation NewEnergy – Gas Division LLC, the supplier.
Neither the township, the village, or Energy Alliances uses door-to-door sale representatives or telemarketers concerning the aggregation program. All correspondence pertaining to the program will include the Energy Alliances logo.
Residents who have questions about the program, are not signed up, or are with another supplier can enroll by calling Constellation’s customer care team at (877) 427-5231.
