Batavia Library programs for November and December

Frozen Sing-A-Long — Tuesday, November 5, 6-7:30 p.m. Bring the family for a frosty movie sing-a-long, featuring frozen treats and icy crafts. Requires pre-registration.

Sensory Playshop — Friday, November 8, 10:30 a.m. Children ages 0-4 can develop their motor skills and vocabulary as they explore a variety of stations created to stimulate their senses. MUST be present at all times. Requires pre-registration.

Intro to Beekeeping — Saturday, November 9 at 11:00 a.m. Adults can learn the basics of beekeeping from Gary Keuffer, master gardener and coordinator of education for the Brown County Beekeepers Association. Pre-registration required.

Second Wednesday Book Club — For adults, meets every month on the second Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. The November 13 title is When the English Fall by David Williams, and the December 11 title is Red Notice by Bill Browder. No pre-registration required.

Mystery Book Club — For adults, the last Wednesday of every month, at 2 p.m. The November 27 title is The Name of the Rose, by Umberto Eco. The December 26 title is The Flight Attendant, by Chris Bohjalian. No pre-registration required.

Holiday Wreath Making — Saturday, November 23, 1:00 p.m. Adults can make a festive holiday wreath to kick off the season. All supplies will be provided. Requires pre-registration.

Family Holiday Open House — Monday, December 9, 6-7:30 p.m. Celebrate the holidays. Enjoy festive music and make & take crafts. Families can RSVP to decorate a wood bird house to take home. Light refreshments will be served. Requires pre-registration.

Roaring 20s Gatsby New Year Party — Monday, December 30, 6:30 p.m. We'll discuss the book versus the movies, make New Years Eve party favors, have a photo backdrop, and enjoy snacks all around the jazz age theme. Haven't read Gatsby? No problem, we'll have copies of the book available for checkout, too. Requires pre-registration, for adults.
